Think Global, Pray Local

Its a simple concept, who better to pray for then our neighbors. If we all started praying for the people on our streets, how much we could change the places we live. Prayer is powerful and the best place to start is right at home.

Why We Should Pray

What the bible tells us about why we should be praying:
  • Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. - Matthew 7:7-8
  • "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." -Matthew 21:22
  • How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. -Isaiah 30:19
  • This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us -whatever we ask- we know that we have what we asked of him. -1 John 5:14-15
  • Then you will call , and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. -Isaiah 58:9
  • He will call upon me, and I will answer him. -Psalm 91:15
  • "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." -Jeremiah 33:3
  • Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. -Mark 11:24
